Ingredients

249 servings - +

74700g flour
1494pcs apples
37350g butter
2490g cinnamon
24900g sugar

Equipment

oven
pie dish
rolling pin

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Prepare your pie crust and place one layer in the bottom of a pie dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the peeled and sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg until evenly coated.
  3. Pour the apple filling into the crust-lined pie dish and dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  4. Place the second pie crust on top. Trim the edges, crimp them together to seal, and cut several slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. You may need to cover the edges with foil to prevent them from burning.
  6. Let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before slicing to allow the filling to set.
