414000g potatoes
31050g butter
41400ml milk
2070g salt
828g pepper

Steps

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into uniform-sized chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold, salted water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, until the potatoes are very tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Drain the potatoes well in a colander and return them to the hot pot to steam dry for a minute.
  4. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher until they reach your desired consistency.
  5. Gently warm the milk and butter in a small saucepan. Pour it over the potatoes.
  6. Stir until the potatoes are creamy and smooth. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
