Sweet egg bread

Ingredients

4slices bread
2pcs eggs
5g cinnamon
50ml milk
20g sugar

Steps

  1. In a shallow dish wide enough to fit a slice of bread, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and sugar until the mixture is well-combined and slightly frothy.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 20-30 seconds per side. The bread should be saturated but not falling apart.
  3. Melt a knob of butter in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat until it begins to foam.
  4. Carefully place the soaked bread slices in the hot pan and cook for 2-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of maple syrup, or fresh berries.
