Steps

  1. Preheat your Belgian waffle iron.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and oil.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until just combined. For extra crispiness, separate the eggs and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites last.
  4. Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
  5. Cook until the waffle is golden brown and crisp.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings like syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
