Ingredients

600g flour
750ml water
150g butter
300g sugar
30g cinnamon

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball of dough forms.
  2. Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in an egg until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  4. Heat oil for frying to 180°C (360°F). Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors.
  5. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  6. While still warm, roll the churros in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
